So cute, so impressive and so patriotic! The taste of an English Sunday roast, in a bite!

I made these for an International food evening I was hosting at my school, to represent England. It's harder than you'd think to find something that's tasty, inexpensive to make, doesn't contain pork (I made some delicious Jamie Oliver sausage rolls last time which so many couldn't even try) , can be made in less than 2 hours and transported on public transport to school, and (due to personal preference) is reasonably healthy! When I asked people for ideas that fit all the above criteria, little was offered! What would you make?

Then I saw this genious idea and found this banging recipe by James Martin (love his work l on hospital cafés, if you haven't already, check it out, he's made such a difference)

Above is the link to the full recipe, which I copied verbatim, and produced a fine batch of tasty little bites for the crew. This time we had students from Angola, Saudi Arabia, Catalunya (Barcelona) and Japan so the array of cuisine was, as always, fantastic!  It's so nice to unite people over a shared love of food and taste the world!
