The 3 Modern Health Practices We Can All Benefit From

by - March 10, 2020

As we find ourselves under the constant stress and strain of our daily lives as well as external factors it's unsurprising that we feel depressed from time to time. But when it comes to our mental and physical health there are things that we can all do to make sure that we cope with modern stresses but also make sure that we can avoid sweating the small stuff and maintain a sense of perspective with all the madness going on in the world?

Placing Our Anxieties Front And Centre

The fact of the matter is that we’re all feeling some sense of anxiety. For many, it can be a deep-rooted psychological source or it can be the sensation of overwhelming symptoms. There are so many different approaches that we can take. Many people buy CBD oil to manage their anxiety symptoms but we've got to understand if there is a root cause. Sometimes it can be due to the diet that we have or the lives we lead. I believe that eating a rainbow is extremely important and know that great nutrition effects how you feel due to the gut-brain connection. When we start to place our anxieties front and centre and actually learn to tackle these problems we can start to incorporate better practices into our lives and avoid the triggers.

Learning To Exercise Smart

Everybody works a job where they don't want to do anything at the end of the day. This means that we've got to find a way to get an adequate amount of exercise in doing any given week, but quickly! This is where people are starting to incorporate HIIT training, but as well as this they are finding approaches to getting stronger without putting numerous hours within the gym. For many people, the Body By Science approach or the super-slow workout has transformed their lives. It involves a massive, stressful workout (like you’re fighting a bear) that fatigues the body and sends a signal to the muscle to build it back up stronger. This is biomechanics in action! If you want to get stronger the equation is simple: fatigue the muscle but make sure you refeed enough.

Bringing Mind, Body, And Spirit Together

We've got to stop separating the three main components of ourselves. Everything works together. When we start to focus on bringing it all together this is when we can gain a newfound perspective on everything. And for those people that aren't spiritually inclined, there are scientific approaches that can help you to bring the three components together. But there are also many examples where you can see how each component is affected. A very good example is acupuncture. It may seem like quite a hippie practice but the whole point is to unblock the channels that aren't conducting electricity. This is why you feel a shock when the needle hits the right point.

If we can focus on these three areas of our lives there is no telling what we would achieve! We live in such a stressful world that we've got to prioritise our mental health but also we are so busy that we don't have time to truly work out our bodies anymore. And if we start to focus on our mind, body, and spirit being the same thing we will feel the benefits in every aspect of our lives. Click here to book a coaching session with me...

With everything, integration and balance is key.

Lots of love,
